Fuad Naghiyev, Chairman of the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, and Celso Sabino, Brazil's Minister of Tourism, discussed tourism development prospects between the two countries, Report informs, citing the agency.
The meeting included discussions about the tourism day at COP29, maintaining the continuity of COP29 initiatives at COP30, as well as exchanging views on joint activities in this direction.
The officials also talked about expanding bilateral cooperation in tourism and organizing mutual events.
Within the framework of the meeting, Naghiyev and Sabino planted a pomegranate tree in front of the State Tourism Agency's administrative building in Baku.
Naghiyev symbolically gifted a pomegranate tree to Sabino to plant in his country, so that the agreements reached in the tourism sector at COP29 would continue in Brazil as the host of COP30, thus ensuring that tourism and climate issues remain consistently on COP's agenda.
