Azerbaijan and Türkiye sign agreement on cooperation in tourism

Türkiye's Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, who is in Baku to participate in COP29, met with the chairman of Azerbaijan's State Tourism Agency, Fuad Naghiyev, Report informs via Haber Global.

Mehmet Nuri Ersoy noted that the successful organization of COP29 had received wide international resonance, and congratulated Azerbaijan on this achievement.

Ersoy emphasized that tourism ties between Türkiye and Azerbaijan have great potential, and noted the importance of further developing these ties and increasing mutual tourist visits.

"We are ready to share our tourism experience with brotherly Azerbaijan," said Ersoy, noting that Türkiye has rich experience in this field.

Fuad Naghiyev expressed satisfaction with Türkiye's active participation in COP29.

"We are ready to develop our ties and want to benefit from Türkiye's experience in tourism," said Naghiyev, thanking Ersoy for his visit to Baku.

After the meeting, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and Fuad Naghiyev signed the "Agreement on Cooperation in Tourism between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan."
