AZAL to operate direct flights to three Pakistani cities

Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL) is planning to start operating twice-a-week direct flights from Baku to the Pakistani cities of Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi soon, Report informs, citing the Digital Development and Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan.

The flights were discussed at the meetings of the Digital Development and Transport Minister of Azerbaijan Rashad Nabiyev with the Railways and Aviation Minister of Pakistan Khawaja Saad Rafique, the Communications Minister of Pakistan Asad Mahmud, the Water Resources Minister of Pakistan Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari.

At the meetings that took place within the framework of Rashad Nabiev's visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, issues of developing cooperation between the two countries in the transport sector, including air, rail and transit transportation, were discussed.

Rashad Nabiyev informed the Pakistani side about large-scale reconstruction and restoration projects being implemented in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
