Albania introduces new travelling rules for foreign tourists

Albania has introduced new travelling rules for those entering the country, starting from Sept. 6, Report informs referring to Albanian Daily News.

Citizens entering Albania must meet one of three conditions: Have a vaccination passport which has been obtained for at least two weeks before travelling; Have a negative PCR test within 72 hours or a rapid antigen test within 48 hours; Have proof of passing Sars-Cov2 infection, valid up to 6 months after healing.

Children under six years of age are excluded from these rules. Meanwhile, Albanian citizens residing in Albania, who lack one of these documents, must undergo a 10-day quarantine.

Albania has stepped up restrictive measures within the country since Sept. 1 due to an increase in COVID cases. In particular, the night curfew was extended by an hour - now it will last from 23:00 to 6:00. It is imperative to wear masks indoors.
