Russian hockey team won't be allowed to join int'l competitions next year

The head of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), Luc Tardif, said that the IIHF does not plan to allow the Russian and Belarusian national teams to participate in international tournaments in 2023, Report informs.

The decisions regarding the teams will be updated from season to season.

Luc Tardif added that the IIHF left the issue of sanctions against hockey players for playing in the championships of Russia and Belarus to the discretion of the national federations.
