Ten veterans of Karabakh War provided with modern prostheses

The State Agency of Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation had provided ten war veterans with 11 modern prostheses since December last year, Agency chief Javid Abdul-Gadirov has said.

Report quotes him as saying that the workshop, created in cooperation with OTTO BOKK (Germany), one of the world's leading prosthetic manufacturers, produces prostheses based on the Genium system.

"These prostheses with a high degree of activity and functionality allow for full, more precise, stable, safe, and confident movements based on electronic joints," he noted.

The head of the agency added that work is currently underway to modernize the rehabilitation system. A high-tech prosthesis workshop has been established at the Prosthetic-Orthopedic Production and Rehabilitation Center under the relevant order of the country's President.
