President Ilham Aliyev presents apartments to martyred journalists families

On July 22 - National Press Day, President Ilham Aliyev presented apartments to the families of two martyred journalists -, AZERTAC correspondent Ibrahimov Maharram Ali oglu and AzTV operator Abishov Siraj Abish oglu.

According to Report, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babayev visited the families of the martyred journalists and presented the documents of the apartments, and the martyr's family member and social payment cards assigned to them.

The Minister said that on June 14, President Ilham Aliyev awarded Abishov Siraj Abish Aliyev Arif Agalar and Ibrahimov Maharram Ali, who served in the liberated territories, with the 3rd-degree order "For Service to the Fatherland." Today, on the instructions of the President, the documents of apartments in residential complexes located close to the area where our martyrs live (in Sumgayit and Khojasan settlement of Baku) are submitted. Moreover, Ibrahimov and Abishov were given the status of martyrs, and their family members were assigned social benefits for the families of martyrs.

The meeting stressed that it was another appearance of Mr. President's special care for the families of martyrs and his constant appreciation of the work and self-devotion of the media workers, who performed their duties with dignity.

Family members of the martyred journalists expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the high level of care and new homes.

Notably, a vehicle carrying journalists hit an anti-tank mine on June 4 in the village of Susuzlug, Kalbajar region. As a result, AZERTAC correspondent Maharram Ibrahimov, AZTV operator Siraj Abishov, and deputy head of the Kalbajar District Executive Power in the Susuzlug village Aliyev Arif Aghalar were killed, while four others were injured.
