"The State Labor Inspection Service under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population has prepared a draft amendment to the Labor Code on the mandatory use of leave during the year. We want certain requirements to be taken into account in this area," head of the State Labor Inspection Service (SLIS) under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection Fuad Heydarov said, Report informs.
According to him, the employee sometimes deliberately does not use his leave: "In the end, the aim is to get some compensation. But this is not the right approach. We recommend employers approve the vacation schedule in advance as agreed with employees. The code provides for a schedule but may not be drawn up due to the lack of an imperative norm. If the schedule is formed, the employer may require the employee to exercise the right to leave. If workers do not use vacations for years, it can lead to violations of labor protection rules."
