Minister: Work will be carried out to develop professional standards

"76 million manats (7.5 million manats more than in 2021) have been allocated for the organization of self-employment events next year. In recent years, the volume of self-employment programs has increased more than 15-fold," Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babayev said at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee for Economic Policy, Industry and Business Enterprising to discuss the documents included in next year's state budget envelope, Report informs.

"It is planned to establish small family farms in 16,500 families next year. 10,000 families will be financed by the unemployment insurance fund, 6,000 by the World Bank, and 500 by our social partners. The expansion of the self-employment program will provide separate support to the portfolio of employment services. As part of other active employment measures, about 8.5 million manats are allocated for financing part of the salary in social jobs, as well as for the organization of public works, job fairs, career counseling services, and other areas. Under these programs, 54,000 people will be provided with relevant professional support services.

"In parallel, the scope of electronic employment services will be expanded through projects such as the "Mobile profession" project, the "Bacar" ('You can') virtual platform, and work on developing professional standards. Standards on 520 professions have already been developed and made available to citizens through the "e-social" Internet portal. It is planned to create 480 standards by the end of the year and three standards next year. In addition, the unemployment insurance fund provides for the maintenance of the state employment office and local authorities, the maintenance of the National Observatory, co-financing for the establishment of DOST centers, and other similar projects. The main goal of the reform is to provide better quality services to the population through the creation of both electronic employment maps and registers, as well as electronic platforms," Babayev said.
