International Organization for Migration assists those who returned from Europe to Azerbaijan voluntarily

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has supported the creation of an income-generating activity area for volunteers returning to Azerbaijan from the Netherlands.

IOM’s office in Azerbaijan told Report that, as part of the voluntary return assistance and reintegration projects, persons voluntarily returning from the Netherlands to their country of origin have been provided with reintegration assistance. Volunteers with the support of IOM purchased appropriate vehicles to work in taxi services as an income-generating activity.

The IOM Office in Azerbaijan is currently providing appropriate reintegration assistance to volunteers from Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Latvia. Allocated reintegration assistance is used to start small businesses, invest in existing businesses, continue education, and provide temporary housing.
