Baku hosting conference of OIC ministers of labor

The Baku Congress Center is hosting the 5th conference of the labor ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states.

Report informs, citing the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, that the preliminary session ahead of the ministerial meeting is underway.

Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anar Karimov, who was elected the session chairman, thanked the participants for the shown trust.

He stressed the special importance of the conferences of the ministers of labor of the OIC member-states in expanding the relations between the Islamic countries in the sphere of labor, employment and social protection and noted that the current conference is aimed at ensuring further progress in this direction.

Deputy Secretary General of the organization on economic issues Ahmad Ssengendo spoke at the event. The agenda and program of the session were adopted as part of the first working session.
