Azerbaijan’s State Committee chair: Women’s role in entrepreneurship increased over past 20 years

Over the past 20 years, the role of women in entrepreneurship has increased in Azerbaijan, Chairperson of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs Bahar Muradova said at the VI Congress of Azerbaijani Women, Report informs.

She noted that the average salary of women in Azerbaijan in 2022 was 68.1% of the average salary of men: "However, in 2015 this ratio was 53.9%. In general, over the past 20 years, the role of women in entrepreneurship has increased."

Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov noted the important role of Azerbaijani women in the socio-political life of the country: "Our government provides and will continue to provide all necessary support to women."
