In January-May 2023, 1,360 twins, 72 triplets and 4 quadruplets were born in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
According to the Committee, 46,544 newborns across the country were registered by the district (city) registration departments of the Ministry of Justice in the reporting period, and compared to the same period in 2022, this indicator fell from 12 to 11.1 per 1,000 people.
