Azerbaijan has made significant strides in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities for its citizens.
According to Anar Aliyev, the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population, approximately 545,000 individuals have been employed in Azerbaijan over the past six years.
Speaking at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Labor and Social Policy, where amendments to the "Employment Law" were discussed, Aliyev highlighted the government's comprehensive approach to job creation.
More than 131,000 people have been provided with temporary employment through paid public works, while around 80,000 individuals have been engaged in the self-employment program.
Furthermore, Azerbaijan has invested in developing its workforce by providing professional training to 27,500 people.
