US actress to plead guilty in college admissions scandal

Actress Felicity Huffman agrees to plead guilty in college admissions cheating scam that has ensnared wealthy parents, Report informs citign the CNN.

The 56-year-old isn't shying away from the charge brought against her, revealing on Monday that she is going to accept "full responsibility" and plead guilty. Huffman was accused of paying $15,000 disguised as a charitable donation so her daughter could take part in a college entrance-exam cheating scam, according to court documents.

Huffman is one of 11 who was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. The actress may face up to 20 years in prison.

Notably, earlier the FBI exposed the criminal gang, which, by taking bribes, helped the children of Hollywood stars and rich people to enter prestigious universities. In fact, there are already 50 people.
