Kevin Spacey to pay House of Cards producers $31 million

American actor Kevin Spacey is due over $30 million to Media Rights Capital (MRC), which produced Netflix's House of Cards.

Report informs, referring to The Wall Street Journal that the verdict was passed by a Los Angeles court.

The actor starred in the series before CNN published material in 2017 based on statements by a number of participants in the series, who accused Spacey of sexual harassment. For this reason, he was suspended from filming and fired from his position as executive producer of the series.

The court ruled that MRC suffered losses due to the need to shorten the sixth season of House of Cards after Spacey's dismissal.
