"We were tortured with boxing gloves, truncheons, and crowbars. Ludwig and Alyosha left various scars on my body." Zahid Hasanov, a fighter captured by the Armenian military in the First Karabakh War, told Report.
When Hasanov was taken prisoner in the Fuzuli region on March 8, 1994, he was wounded and received almost no medical care at the hospital:
"Nobody looked after us there, neither Armenian doctors nor the staff of the International Committee of the Red Cross ... There were about 5-6 Azerbaijani women and three children taken hostage in the hospital. They looked after me."
