How is COVID-19 passport checked indoors?

In recent days, the issue of checking the availability of COVID-19 passports at the entrance to indoor spaces has been widely discussed on social networks.

In this regard, Report's staff visited several facilities where COVID-19 passports are required and followed the passport verification procedure.

Matin Kazimov, deputy director of a shopping center, said that they check the citizens' COVID-19 passports or immunity certificates through the portal. The holders of the indicated certificates are allowed inside.

Even if citizens do not have ID cards, their names, surnames, and patronymics are checked through the portal, and they are allowed to enter.

Since September 1, citizens have been required a COVID-19 passport to enter large shopping centers, hotels, cafes, restaurants, and other public catering establishments. Besides, those who received one of the two doses before October 1 can enter the catering facilities by presenting a COVID-19 passport.
