The State Committee for Work with Religious Structures has clarified the fate of religious figures who do not have a religious education.
Deputy Chairman of the Committee Gunduz Ismayilov said in an interview with Report that there are a certain number of people among religious figures in mosques and shrines, who do not have a religious education.
"Just as a person without education cannot work as a teacher, doctor, engineer, so a person without religious education cannot engage in professional religious activities as a clergyman, and this is a requirement of the law," he said.
