Seymur Nasirov: There are still Armenian churches in Azerbaijan, although Armenians destroyed Azerbaijani monuments

Despite the massacres and bloodshed committed by Armenians against Azerbaijan and the destruction of almost all historical and religious monuments of Azerbaijan in the occupied territories over the past 30 years, Azerbaijan carefully preserves Armenian churches, Adviser at the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide Seymur Nasirov said.

According to him, it is no coincidence that the first international conference on Islamophobia is being held in Azerbaijan.

"All religions actually call for peace and brotherhood, but, unfortunately, due to the personal interests of some people, this is difficult to achieve, which leads to new reasons for hating Muslims," he said.

Talking about the history of Islam, Nasirov said: "One of the French thinkers said that it is impossible to subjugate Muslims, because they are committed to religion, faith and destiny."

He also noted that in the Muslim world, Christians have always lived in peace and security.

According to him, the followers of Islam should unite and promote ideas of love for humanity and Muslims in order to avoid Islamophobia.
