Second day of Global Summit of Religious Leaders commences

The second day of the Global Summit of Religious Leaders, held under the slogan "World Religions for a Green Planet," has begun as part of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).

According to Report, the summit continues with a plenary session. The event is expected to conclude with the adoption of the Baku Declaration and an appeal from world religious leaders to the participants of COP29 in Baku.

Summit participants will also send a letter of gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, before the two-day summit concludes with a press conference.

The Global Summit of Religious Leaders, themed "World Religions for a Green Planet," is being held in anticipation of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29). The summit has brought together over 220 guests from 55 countries and 30 international organizations, including renowned religious and public figures representing various faiths.
