Pashazade: Dev't of multiculturalism ensured in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan

All conditions have been created in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan to ensure and develop multiculturalism, interreligious peace and cooperation, said Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Board, on the occasion of the upcoming 7th Congress of Religious Leaders, which will be held in Kazakhstan on September 14-15, Report informs.

Pashazade believes that religious, political, scientific and public figures, having shown solidarity at the 7th Congress, will strongly condemn in the final document all forms and manifestations of terrorism, incitement to hatred, xenophobia, the use of religion for selfish or political purposes, as well as acts of extremism against believers in churches, mosques, synagogues and other religious temples, they will raise their voices of protest against insults to religious symbols and shrines.

Sheikhulislam expressed his deep gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym Zhomart Tokayev, for the highest level of implementation of the mission, which aims to unite the efforts of representatives of world religions, statesmen and public figures in the name of achieving peace and security throughout the world.

"The friendly relations between the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym Zhomart Tokayev, and the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, enjoy the universal approval of the two countries' peoples. The fraternal congratulations of the leader of Kazakhstan on Azerbaijan's victory in the Patriotic War were received with great gratitude," Pashazade noted.

He stated that Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have ample opportunities for further cooperation and deepening of both bilateral and multilateral relations for the development and promotion of shared cultural and spiritual values ​​in all areas of mutual interest, particularly within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.

"In this regard, it should be noted that thanks to the comprehensive support of Kazakhstan, the idea of ​​creating a Council of religious leaders of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States has become real and is close to final implementation," he added.
