Pakistan on active propaganda of Islamophobia after 9/11 attacks

The narratives advocating a clash of civilisations have done considerable harm to humanity’s progress, Acting Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwaarul Haq Kakar said from the rostrum of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, Report informs via TASS.

While Islamophobia was an age-old phenomenon, PM Kakar recalled that after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, "it had assumed epidemic proportions, as manifested in the negative profiling of Muslims; and attacks on Islamic sites and symbols, such as the recent public burnings of the Holy Quran".
