The holy month of Ramadan has begun in Azerbaijan today.
According to Report, the appearance of the crescent (new moon) on the horizon on April 1 this year will coincide with the 1st of Ramadan, April 1, 2022 by the Gregorian calendar.
The first Night of Qadr in the month of Ramadan will be on the night of the 18th to the 19th of Ramadan, if exactly on April 19. The second night of Qadr will be on April 21 (the night of the 20th to the 21st of Ramadan), the third on April 23, and the last on April 27.
According to Islam, fasting in the month of Ramadan is essential for all adults, not sick and not traveling Muslims.
In the month of Ramadan, during the daytime, it is forbidden to eat, drink, smoke, perform conjugal duties, and so on. Only children, sick people, pregnant women, and those fighting at the front and traveling long distances are exempted from this. Fasting begins with a new moon's appearance in the month of Ramadan and lasts 29-30 days. The Holy Quran says: "Eat and drink until you can distinguish the white thread of dawn from the black one, and then fast until night."
