Kazakhstan will support projects related to pilgrimages in the countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan Nauryzbai Taganuly said at the third meeting of Muslim religious leaders of the OTS countries in Baku, Report informs.
“There is a need to deepen our cooperation. From this point of view, today's meeting is very important. Several projects in religious education and building up cooperation between the Muslim ummah are currently under discussion. Establishing a single date for religious holidays was also the subject of debate,” said the Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan.
Nauryzbai Taganuly noted the need for cooperation in the exchange of manuscripts and copies of important religious documents. He also underlined the initiative to create an Islamic Academy and an Islamic library.
