The Grand Mufti of Egypt, Nazir Mohammed Ayyad, will participate in the World Summit of Religious Leaders, which will be held on November 5-6 in Baku, Report informs via Arab media.
"Through this summit [in Baku], we will work on expanding dialogue and developing a unified position regarding religious leaders, with special attention to environmental protection and calling for an end to conflicts and wars that threaten humanity," said the Mufti before departing for Baku.
On the initiative of Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev, on November 5-6, within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP29), the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, the Muslim Council of Elders, the Caucasus Muslims Board (CMB), and the UN Environment Programme will hold the World Summit of Religious Leaders in Baku.
