Allahshukur Pashazadeh receives Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan

Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO) Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh received Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Bağci, the Press Service of the CMO told Report.

CMO Chairman Pashazadeh noted with satisfaction the high level of friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, their development in the interests of our states and peoples. He expressed hope that the newly appointed Turkish ambassador to our country would contribute to the further deepening of these relations and make efforts to further strengthen the existing bridges, and wished the ambassador success in his work.

Expressing pride in Ilham Aliyev's successful development of Turkish-Azerbaijani relations in accordance with National Leader Heydar Aliyev's assessment of 'one nation, two states', Sheikh-ul-Islam stressed that he received the ambassador of Turkey not only as a diplomat but also as a brother.

The CMO chairman praised that the ambassador had the honor of representing the brotherly Turkish state in Azerbaijan during Victory Days after the glorious Patriotic War of Azerbaijan. Pashazadeh said he was proud of the high level of religious and spiritual ties between Turkey and Azerbaijan, noting the importance of being organized against forces that do not want us.

Highly appreciating the Turkish state's moral support and fraternal solidarity to Azerbaijan during the glorious Patriotic War, Pashazadeh emphasized the significance and the importance of the sustainable development of political, economic, and cultural, and religious ties between Azerbaijan and Turkey. Expressing satisfaction with the level of religious and spiritual cooperation between the Caucasian Muslims Office and the Turkish Religious Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam praised the fraternal relations and joint efforts with Mufti Dr. Ali Erbaş.

Bağci expressed his deep satisfaction with his appointment as ambassador to Azerbaijan, emphasizing that he attached great importance to his meeting with Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh, an influential religious leader whom he knows from prestigious international events.

He expressed confidence that the Turkish state will continue to be together with brotherly Azerbaijan on all levels and platforms, as usual. Speaking about Turkey's intention to participate in the reconstruction work in Karabakh in coordination with the Azerbaijani state after the victory, the ambassador added that it would include destroyed religious and spiritual monuments.

Regarding the ambassador's concern over the issue of Jerusalem, Sheikh-ul-Islam Pashazadeh said that Jerusalem, mentioned in the Holy Quran, is sacred to the Islamic world and the attitude to the sanctities remains unchanged.

Sheikh-ul-Islam A. Pashazadeh wished the ambassador success in his future work, prayed for new achievements for our peoples and states, and expressed his best wishes.
