Allahshukur Pashazada proposes permanent advisory council of religious leaders

Allahshukur Pashazada, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), proposed the creation of a Permanent Advisory Council of Religious Leaders under the UN COP framework, Report informs.

He made this suggestion at the Global Summit of Religious Leaders held in Baku under the motto "World Religions for a Green Planet" within the framework of COP29.

During his speech, Pashazada emphasized that one of the crucial initiatives put forward by Azerbaijan for the future of humanity within COP29 is the Global Ceasefire initiative. He called upon all religious leaders to support this initiative for the salvation and future of the world.

"With this intention, we also propose the establishment of a Permanent Advisory Council of Religious Leaders within the UN COP framework," Pashazada stated. "Such an organization can implement socially significant and effective projects, conduct educational events, and prepare literature on the topic of religion and ecological ethics during the period between COP sessions."

Pashazada expressed confidence that the proposal of the religious platform will be appreciated at the COP29 Baku Summit, and the wise thoughts and effective recommendations of world religious leaders in the Final Document of the Summit will provide moral support and a valuable contribution to the efforts of state and public figures in this direction.
