The Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) and Brigham Young University (USA) have signed a memorandum of cooperation, the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations told Report.
The document was inked by the chairman of the State Committee Ramin Mammadov and the dean of Brigham Young University, Scott Miller.
The memorandum provides for mutually beneficial scientific research between the faculties and departments of the two universities, implementation of joint projects promoting ideas of multiculturalism.
It is also planned to organize events to inform teachers and students about the history and culture of both countries, carry out mutual academic visits, and exchange experience in the field of studying religions and foreign languages.
