“We believe in a victory. It is impossible to believe in anything different. We shall definitely win since this is our home, land, independence. It is simply about time,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with The Economist.
Report informs that at the same time, the Ukrainian president admits that the Russian armed forces are colossal: “Russia possesses thousands of military equipment. They keep coming. In some areas, there are so many tanks that they cannot get out of there. They have a tank jam.”
He also commented on why he has not abandoned Kyiv at the outset of the war:
“It is not about being courageous; I have to behave in a way that I believe is appropriate. If you do not know how to do things this or that way, be sincere, that is it. You should be open-minded for people to believe in you. Do not bother yourself with anything else. You have to be yourself... And it's important not to look better than you are.”
