Zakharova: No better guarantor of stability for Armenia than Russia

The upcoming visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Armenia will be framed within the paradigm of "destructive activities of Westerners in the region," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said during a briefing, responding to a question from News.ru.

According to Report, Zakharova also emphasized that the doors of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) are always open for Armenia's return.

"Well, let's say, the return of the republic to full-fledged cooperation is open. Ultimately, there are no alternatives to the CSTO and Russia as guarantors of stability for this country," she said.

The Russian MFA representative further highlighted that Armenia's cooperation with Russia has been tested through centuries.

"This, by the way, is recorded in the history of Armenia, the very history that is not subject to rewriting, despite any pseudo-textbooks being published," she concluded.
