Yermak: Ukraine insists on extending grain deal for indefinite period

The Ukrainian authorities fulfill the conditions for the grain deal agreed with the UN, therefore they insist on its extension for an unlimited period, said Andriy Yermak, the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Report informs.

Yermak stressed that Ukraine’s position remains unchanged.

He noted that this is one of the points of the “peace formula” presented by the president of the country.

“We are in favor of extending the grain initiative for an indefinite period. Ukraine, for its part, is fulfilling everything that we have agreed with the UN and Türkiye,” he added.

Yermak also noted that Kyiv is actively consulting with permanent and non-permanent members of the UN Security Council in order to prevent Russia from chairing the Council from April this year.
