Yerlikaya: Turkish Interior Ministry received over 6,000 requests after earthquake

After the earthquake in Istanbul, the emergency call center received over 6,000 calls, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya wrote on X, Report informs.

"Our emergency call center received 6,100 calls. Most of these calls were for information," the minister said.

According to the Disaster Management Authority (AFAD), an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 hit the Sea of ​​Marmara off the coast of Istanbul at 12:49 local time on April 23, followed by aftershocks. The earthquake in Istanbul injured 151 people.
