Yerevan, Washington explore ways to speed up TRIPP project implementation

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with Aryeh Lightstone, senior adviser to the US Special Envoy for Peace Missions, with the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project among the topics discussed.

According to Report, citing Armenian media, Armenia's Foreign Ministry said the sides noted significant progress in the South Caucasus peace process achieved following the Washington peace summit held on August 8, 2025. They emphasized that peace between Baku and Yerevan is essential for unlocking the region"s full potential.

Mirzoyan and Lightstone also discussed prospects for trade and economic cooperation, as well as issues related to strengthening Armenia's economic and energy resilience.

"Particular attention was paid to the development of regional connectivity and the use of existing competitive advantages. In this context, the sides reviewed the progress of the TRIPP program and confirmed their mutual interest in its rapid practical implementation. They also exchanged views on the most effective ways to integrate Armenia into the international transport and infrastructure system," the statement said.
