Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived on a state visit to Kazakhstan. His plane landed at the Nur-Sultan airport, Report informs, citing the press service of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
This is Jinping's first foreign visit since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
As part of his visit, Jinping is expected to hold talks with Tokayev and sign a number of cooperation agreements.
The Chinese leader will also visit Uzbekistan for a summit of the heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization scheduled for September 15-16.
