WHO sends over 316 tons of medical supplies to Ukraine

The World Health Organization has delivered over 316 metric tonnes of medical supplies to Ukraine, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, speaking at the donor's conference for Ukraine in Warsaw.

According to Report, the WHO chief said the scale of destruction of the healthcare system in Ukraine is catastrophic. Millions of people have been displaced and remain trapped in the regions of hostilities, Ghebreyesus said, noting that 3.5 million people had received assistance.

He also noted that WHO works in neighboring countries, delivering aid to more than 5 million refugees from Ukraine.

On behalf of the organization, the WHO chief called on Russia to stop the war.
