Washington supports Ukraine's NATO accession

The United States has reaffirmed its support for Ukraine's receipt of the NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP), said the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, Report informs citing RIA Novosti.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken took place on Thursday in Kyiv. After that, Blinken said that he discussed Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic prospects and the fight against corruption with the Ukrainian President.

"Today, we received another confirmation of the full support from the United States of Ukraine's receipt of the MAP. But there are many participants in the alliance, so the work continues. The United States has once again confirmed that it is our strategic partner, which supports Ukraine's entry into NATO," the office quotes Yermak.

Yermak noted that Kyiv and Washington discuss various formats of interaction to strengthen security in the Black Sea, particularly geopolitical and military ones.
