US-Russia talks kick-off

The United States and Russia have begun security talks in Geneva, Switzerland, Report informs, citing TASS.

The Russian delegation is led by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov and Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin, and the US delegation is led by the US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman.

Russia has submitted proposals to the United States and NATO to ensure security. A meeting between Russian and NATO representatives is scheduled for January 12.
