US imposes sanctions on Iranian university

The US State Department has imposed sanctions on Iran's ambassador to Yemen Hassan Irlu, Report informs, referring to Mehr news agency.

Iran's Al-Mustafa International University is also on the US State Department's sanctions list. The school was included because it cooperated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

Al-Mustafa International University is headquartered in Qom, Iran. It has offices in Tehran, Mashhad, Gorgan, Isfahan, Tabriz, and more than 60 countries. This university is Islamic. Specialists in jurisprudence, jurisprudence methodology, religions and sects, Islamic history, Islamic philosophy, law, economics, political science, management, psychology, and other fields are trained there.

The university has been officially operating since 1979. The main goal is to organize and educate international students. For this purpose, over the years, more than 40,000 students from 108 countries have graduated from the academy.
