Doubts remain in the United States and Germany regarding Ukraine's potential NATO membership, Mykhailo Podolyak, an advisor to the head of the Ukrainian President's Office, told Report.
Podolyak emphasized the need to work with these countries to address their concerns.
"I believe that the United States' position now appears different. It is necessary to maintain pressure. Germany's position depends on the US. In principle, this is an important discussion," Podolyak stated.
Citing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Podolyak declared that inviting Ukraine to join NATO is the first point of the "victory plan." He suggested that the post-war arrangement could be implemented by creating a contingent within NATO.
Podolyak asserted that any country in Europe has the sovereign right to make decisions about joining any alliance, stating, "No third country can tell Ukraine 'do it' or 'don't do it.'"
