US donates 500,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine to Georgia

The 500,000 doses of Pfizer's COVID vaccine donated by the US government have arrived in Georgia, Report informs with reference to the Georgian Health Ministry.

"I want to take this opportunity to thank the US government for the assistance it has provided to Georgia during the pandemic and now by giving the Pfizer vaccine. I also want to point out that in addition to this, we bought 1 million doses of Pfizer vaccine directly from the supplier, and the shipment has already begun. Thus, I once again want to ask the residents to join this vaccination campaign," said the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, who, together with the US Ambassador to Tbilisi Kelly Degnan and the Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze, met the plane that delivered the vaccine.
