US appoints diplomat who worked in Russia as ambassador to Turkmenistan

Elizabeth Rood, the former deputy ambassador of the US to Russia, has been appointed as the ambassador of the United States to Turkmenistan, the US Congress said on X, Report informs.

According to information, the Senate approved her candidacy for the post of ambassador to Turkmenistan on May 3.
