Underground city discovered in Turkiye

An underground city has been discovered during construction work in Turkiye's Konya province, Report informs referring to the Anadolu Agency.

According to preliminary data, its total area can reach 5,000 square meters, and most of the troves found underground date back to the 8th century AD.

Under the ground there are premises with an area of 20 square meters, interconnected by a network of tunnels.
