UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has warned against an escalation of the crisis in Ukraine, Report informs referring to TASS.
Speaking at a briefing in Geneva, he emphasized that such a development of events could be caused by the fact that the conflict is becoming prolonged, and this results in the use of more weapons.
He noted the UN’s commitment to supporting any serious effort for peace in Ukraine. According to Guterres, the world organization currently considers its priorities to be providing humanitarian assistance and restoring freedom of navigation in the Black Sea.
