UN: Over 4.8M refugees from Ukraine arrived in Europe due to hostilities

A total of 4.8 million refugees from Ukraine arrived in 44 European countries, Report informs referring to the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.

More than 3.2 million of them were registered in these states as part of national protection and assistance programs. The calculations covered the period from February 24 to June 7.

Of the total number, more than 1.12 million refugees arrived in Russia, 1.15 million in Poland, 780,000 in Germany, over 366,000 in the Czech Republic, almost 126,000 in Italy and over 118,000 in Spain.
