Ukrainian official: Russia fired missiles at Kyiv from Caspian Sea region

After a 51-day break, Russia launched another missile attack, especially on the capital city of Kyiv. Thus, Xa101 and Xa555 missiles were fired from the Caspian Sea region by Tu-95 strategic bombers, Mykhailo Shamanov, spokesman of the Kyiv City Military Administration, told Report.

"Serhiy Popko, the head of the Kyiv city military administration, said that according to preliminary information, 11 cruise missiles and 2 UAVs of the operational-tactical level were destroyed in the airspace of the city of Kyiv. In the Obolonskyi district of the capital, the power line was cut and the road surface was damaged due to the fall of rocket fragments," Shamanov noted.

Shamanov stated that as a result of the missile attack, there were no casualties among the civilian population, settlements and large infrastructure facilities were not damaged: "We once again appeal to residents of Kyiv and visitors to the city to go to shelters in the event of an air raid. We will restore the destroyed infrastructure, but now the most precious thing is the lives of Ukrainians."
