Ukrainian official on conditions for meeting between Zelensky and Putin

Mykhaylo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Presidential Administration, commented on the prospects of a possible meeting between Presidents Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin.

He told reporters that it is very good to have a meeting of the leaders, Report informs citing UNIAN.

"But it is desirable that this happens after the full demonstration of the helplessness of the Russian army. Also, all the documents must be prepared. If these two components are implemented, we will have a successful dialogue for Ukraine. This is my personal opinion," Podolyak said.

He also noted that Ukraine is an open and transparent nation: "But we are still not a member of the European Union. Unlike Russia, we are integrated into the liberal world. Russia has always integrated into its favorite Byzantine concept. Of course, it will be difficult for the Byzantine president (Putin) to talk to the European (Zelensky) president.”
