Russian troops left several positions in Bakhmut, the Donetsk region, Ukrainian Ground Forces Commander, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi said, Report informs.

He said that in the last few days, numerous attacks of Russian forces in the direction of Lyman have been repelled: “The enemy's attempts to capture our positions failed. The Russian army suffered serious losses and 10 enemy soldiers were captured. Heavy fighting continues in the direction of Bakhmut. The other party tried to penetrate into our positions in several directions. But it failed.”

According to Syrskyi, despite all efforts, the opposing side is unable to capture the city: “The situation is quite complicated.”

Serhiy Cherevaty, a spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that 25,600 Russian soldiers are fighting in Bakhmut.

According to him, 65 tanks, 450 armored vehicles, 154 artillery systems, and 56 rocket fire systems of the opposite side were involved in this direction: “This means more military equipment than the Czech and Hungarian armies.”

Cherevaty said that Russia losses 100 servicemen daily in Bakhmut.
