Forced mobilization continues in the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said, Report informs.
"To prevent possible desertion of those mobilized from the front or sabotage, on February 23 of this year, up to 200 policemen from the 'Ahmat' special purpose regiment were additionally dispatched to the Bakhmut area," Ukrainian General Staff said.
"During the day, units of the Defense Forces destroyed 1 Mi-24 attack helicopter and 4 enemy air defense systems. The Ukrainian aviation made 20 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the occupiers. Our missile and artillery troops hit the control post, 2 areas where the enemy's manpower was concentrated, and 3 ammunition depots," reads the General Staff's situation update.
