Ukrainian Foreign Ministry summons Iran's Chargé d'Affaires

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry summoned Iran's Chargé d'Affaires in the country, Shahryar Amouzegar, Report informs via Ukrainian media.

The Iranian diplomat was given the corresponding commentary from the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on September 7 and was given a harsh warning that confirmation of the fact of Iran's supply of ballistic weapons to Russia would have destructive and irreparable consequences for Ukrainian-Iranian bilateral relations, the ministry noted.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Russia received short-range ballistic missiles from Iran. Iran denied the transfer of missiles to Russia at the UN. However, later Iranian MP Ahmad Bakhshaesh Ardestani confirmed that Tehran had transferred missiles to Russia. He noted that this was part of a barter, which involved the supply of drones.

Today, the EU said that it had received intelligence confirming Iran's supply of ballistic missiles to Russia.
